Plot
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry’s livelihood is attacked by greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. Loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from a warehouse in Quebec; five were sentenced to prison.
The entire cast was phenomenal, and Jamie Lee Curtis gave a brilliant performance as always
But I was especially impressed with Margo Martindale – she absolutely shines in her role. The sharp, witty dialogue kept me entertained throughout, and I’m really looking forward to a second season.
Let’s hope the creators give us more!
This series has a unique blend of humor and crime drama that I haven’t seen in a long time. The unexpected twists and turns kept me guessing the entire time, and the Canadian setting added a unique flavor to the story.
