Plot
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living from hit movies for the highest fee. He soon meets a determined British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe in “The Day of the Jackal.” The novel was set in 1963 and involved the assassination attempt on then-French President Charles de Gaulle.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like this show
Starring Graham Norton in Genres: Denzel Washington / Paul Mescal / Saoirse Ronan / Eddie Redmayne / Blossoms (2024). I would have given it a 9, but I can’t do that yet.
Great action and fun to watch
However, the female lead leaves a lot to be desired. She tries too hard to be tough and serious all the time.
Redmayne’s performance is great as The Jackal!
I really didn’t like her character because of that. In fact, I hope she never catches the killer.
He made the killer a well rounded character
Someone who is out in the open and has a family to deal with as well. I hope season 2 addresses the major issues with the female lead and brings us back for more.
