Are you leaving and you are going to miss your parents once you do? Well, write them a letter in which you express exactly how much you are going to miss them and how they mean the world to you. Don’t be too formal but make sure that you have respectable tone maintained throughout the letter.

Dear Mom & Dad,

How are you? I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing this letter to you in order to say my last goodbye before I depart for my university in Athens, Greece.

I wanted to let you know that you two have always been by my side in all good and bad circumstances. I love how the two of you are my parents and I can safely say that you two are the best parents in the world. You have always supported me with all the decisions I have taken in my life and I simply love the two of you from the bottom of my heart. The three years I am going to learn music in Athens is only because you two have shown your support towards anything I wanted to learn. It will be hard out there without the two of you on my side but I am sure that your prayers are with me and even though the two of you won’t be there with me, you will still be there whenever I need someone to talk to.

I am not planning to come back during the three-year course of my studies and I am going to miss you both a lot. I will keep writing you more letters and will also send you postcards once I reach Athens.
