Dear Gramps,
How are you? I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing this letter to you to let you know how much I miss you on this New Year’s Eve. In fact, I have missed you so much today that I am doing exactly the things which the two of us did when we used to spend this night together.
I know I have lately been out of touch but this is solely because of my busy schedule. I really pushed hard to somehow make it back to London, just to spend time with my family, but it was impossible for me. My pocket does not allow me to spend this New Year with you.
I was worried about your health when mother wrote to me during Christmas. She explained how you caught a cold and had trouble breathing. I prayed a lot for you and I really hope that things have worked out. Please take good care of yourself as you mean a lot to me.
I will sum this letter up by wishing you a happy New Year once again. I really hope this year brings you lots of blessings. Do remember me in your prayers as I will remember you in mine.
