If your sister is leaving town and you want to write her a farewell letter, then make sure that you pour your heart out once you start writing. Since this might be the last time before you see her for at least a year, let her know how much you love her and explain to her how she has been nice to you throughout the time the two of you have been together.

Sample of Farewell Letter to Sister

Dear Sister,

I am writing this letter to wish you one last goodbye since you will be leaving town for at least five years. It is safe to say that the last eighteen years which we spend together were the best of my life and I will cherish them for eternity.

You have been my most favourite member of the family and it’s because you have always taken a stand for me in all the different circumstances. Moreover, you were always there for me whenever I needed you the most; through thick and thin. That is why I love you so much. However, I currently hate the fact that you will be leaving all of us to move to Canada with your husband. This is probably the worst news that I heard in the past one week. You know how close the two of us are and it will be hard for us to survive without talking to each other on a daily basis. I plan to call you every once in a while but then it is all going to fade away as the two of us will be busy in our own routine.

This letter is to wish you one final goodbye before you depart tomorrow morning. Always remember that I love you more than anything in this world and I will miss you a lot.
