When Henri Guillaumet, the best pilot in the Airmail, disappears in the Andes, his best friend Antoine de Saint-Exupéry decides to go looking for him against all odds. The little prince was in every home, hence the author’s story was eagerly awaited. The story tells of the period when his childhood friend Gillaumet and they worked for the postal service between Argentina and Chile. So far, so good. They are childhood friends and the same age. Now here’s the problem: when they get older, the age difference is almost 20 years. So here is my review. Why do they take Cassal 57 to play a 29 year old? Saint Ex should be 30, played by a 41 year old still ok. Diane Krueger chosen to match Cassal’s age. Doesn’t French cinema have young actors? So the choice of actors, even if they were good, was bad. The pictures were great, but the scenes in the plane were not realistic!
