Plot

A unique portrait of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. It took a year and a half to get permission to shoot this lavish dance sequence on London’s Regent Street over four nights, because it actually belongs to the British royal family. Two nights before the scheduled shoot, after spending a full week of rehearsals in a studio where they filmed the street, Queen Elizabeth II died and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including the shops and crew, and the production insurance didn’t cover losses due to the death of a monarch, so the producers had to raise extra money to shoot the sequence, which was shot five months later. The main character, Robbie Williams, is depicted as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not, in fact, a chimpanzee.
