Plot
Incarcerated at Sing Sing for a crime he did not commit, Divine G finds purpose by performing alongside other incarcerated men in a theater group in this story about resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art. As the film begins, the cast is rehearsing for various roles in the play.

I enjoyed this film even though I wouldn’t see it in the theater
For me, this film was one of those crime movies where you don’t know what you’re seeing until you get there. I had a few teary moments and realizing that half the cast was actually the prison theater troupe is impressive.
I almost left when I found out it was “Sing Sing,” but the film held my attention and kept me glued to my seat until the end
Again, the cast was mostly prisoners who were part of the theater troupe and they did a really good job considering this was their only experience in prison.
