Sample of Birthday Leave E-mail
There are times when you want to take a leave from work when it is your birthday. You might have plans and there is a possibility that you might not be able to make it to work. If you have just realized this, you can always use an e-mail to tell to your employers that you will not be able to make it to work.
Maintain a formal and professional tone throughout your e-mail, since you are writing to a senior. Moreover, write down all the necessary information but do not go overboard. Make sure that everything is summed up and you are able to convey everything to your boss concisely. In case you want to cover up for the missed holiday, you can write it down in the e-mail. You can also give them details of phone numbers or e-mails through which they can contact you in case you are needed. Also, if you want to avail a paid leave, you need to mention that in your e-mail as well.
Sample of Birthday Leave E-mail
Dear Sir,
I am writing this e-mail to inform you that I will not be able to make it to work tomorrow 22nd July 2014, due to the fact that I will be celebrating my birthday. I will have absolutely no time to come to work since I will be over-committed throughout the day. Therefore, it is requested that you grant me a leave for one day.
I am currently working the construction project with Willibag.inc and I have asked James Rodriguez to take care of the situation during my absence. However, if you still need to contact me during my absence you may call me at my personal phone number which you already have.
Awaiting your response and thank you for your time and consideration!
Thanks and regards,
Andrea Gerrard.
